More Sunny Side from A*muse Studio - Kraft and Eucalyptus

I have always LOVED Kraft cardstock.  And I especially love it when you stamp on it with Eucalyptus!  I made two cards with one stamping of the Sunny Side of Life flower sillouette cut in half - so you can really get some mileage out of this stamp!  In any color it loks beautiful!

This one I accented with a few Vanilla Pearls and I embossed the piece of Eucalyptus cardstock with the Dots embossing plate.  I stamped my greeting from Essential Sentiments with the Eucalyptus ink.

This one I tied a piece of Vanilla Twine around the stamped piece and I stamped the greeting on top with Navy Ink.  I also stamped the Mesh Background Stamp onto the Eucalyptus with Versamark and I embossed it with Clear powder.  I love the texture and depth it adds to the card!

Another Charming Gardner card - and new signup special!

I am getting into the 4Bar size of card - have you tried them?  I had not done them before I came to a|s - but I am loving the size now!  It is a standard size - 3 1/2 x 5 - aqnd we sell sugar envelopes to fit!  (shimmer ones too!)  For this card I started with a piece of Bristol pad cut to 3 1/2 x 10.  I scored it in half to form my 4Bar card.  I stamped the flower from Charming Garders with Tuxedo Black Memento pad.  Then I went to work with my waterbrush and watercolor pencils.

I Edged the front of the card with the Scallop borders smallest die.  Then to dress it up a little bit I added a strip of Bubblegum cardstock to the inside bottom edge of the card.  For added texture I added a line pf pierced dots.  Last I tied a piece of Bubble Gum Satin ribbon around the front of the card and stamped my greeting.

The weight of the Bristol Pad really makes this card feel like a work of art!

I went crazy with embossing on this card - I love the subtle effect of clear embossing for a background - I used the Music background for this one.  I could not get my white polka dots to pop like I wanted - so white embossing for them and they are perfect! 

I played a little with my copics too - I love to color but when mass producing for Christmas cards I have to choose my images wisely or I will NEVER finish them!  This stamp set - Holiday tags

has 10 different images to choose from - that are all easy to color!  Definetly on my Christmas cards this year!

I had a major internet outage this week - which brought me to a screeching halt in my studio!  I had planned my work out for wednesday and then couldn't do any of it!  Posting this card was one of those items!  I am all back up and running - and hopefully back on track!

I started with Lilly Anna Cardstock and Pattern Papers and wanted to use the Pretty Posies stamp set from the Angel Company. I colored my little posie with Copic Markers and them embossed a different posie on the light pink piece with Irridescent Embossing Powder. I love the look of this with the pink! The ribbon is an old piece I have had calling my name - just had to use it! I added the piercing around the top edge of the centerpiece to give it a little more umph since i didn't use a POP DOT! OMG a card without a pop dot it is like a dinosaur!

Things got a little hectic there for a while and I am hoping that this week will allow me to get back on track!  I have a pit of a studio to get straightened up, videos to make and lots of future events to plan!

This weekend I am looking forward to another great Copic class at The Angel Company!  This is their advanced techniques class and I can't wait!  I also have a wedding to go to - for which I am to make pumpkin rolls.  They are doing "Family Favorites" deserts - and I got elected.  They are pretty yummy!  I will also have my own Copic Coloring  Happy Hour on September 30th - to pass on the things I learn about coloring with these fabulous markers. 

I made a swap card for my team meeting yesterday that turned out pretty cute!  I used one of the upcoming stamp sets from our Fall Supplement which is due out October 1st.  This set is available in the Thousand Thanks Special preview pack of stamps from the Fall supplement - I love them ALL!!

I just LOVE the new Scor- Buddy!  It is so handy and even fits in the center of my Tote-ally Cool Tote!  That rocks when things just "fit" ya know?  I scored the diagonal Latice pattern and then rubbed over top with the VersaMark Pad to bring it out a bit.

The color is a little off in the pictures - the green/blue is actually a darker teal color - the first picture catches it the closest but even it is off a bit.   So imagine it a darke blue k?  :-)

Monday card sketch #125

I know I know I have not even done my card for last week - but it is monday people and I have a new sketch for you!  SO give it a try, join the blog hop and leave your linky and add the blurb to your blog too - it is supe simple with the McLinky!  So here is this weeks sketch:

I had the MOST fantabulous last three days!  I was excited to be able to attend the Copic Coloring class that TAC was offering in Salina on friday.  I had NO idea how awesome it was going to be!  I am SO excited for what I have instore for our next Copic Coloring Happy Hour!  (Thursday Sept 30th!)

From the class I headed out to Living Water Ranch for my Oz-some Weekend - and it was!  I am SO blessed to have such PHENOMENAL women on my team!   We had each brought a project to share with everyone and they were all amazing.  What creativity they all posess.  And food - OMG!  reports are the average weight gain from the weekend is a minimum of 3 pounds.  LOL!   We had a card swap and I was SO jealous to not be able to participate in the Gift exchange.    We did manage to take a dip in the pool - but it was a quick one because we all wanted to get back to coloring!  I did the projects and then mostly played with my Copic materials from class.  I think I got my African American skin combo finally too!  I still have LOTS of work to do to get facial coloring though as I seem to be overworking it and I lose my lights.  I guess I will have LOTS more fun practicing!

This week I have stamping night out on Thursday - and I have no idea what I am doing yet!  :-)  Just kidding I actually have some things in my bag of tricks I have been saving for fall.  I hope to get both card sketches done this week too - so check back to see what I came up with and be sure to share your ideas too!

I got a little carried away with the Stickles - but it was fun!  I traced around the whole piece with the bear on it and I also dotted randomly around in the snow.  The bear also got stickle accents on her necklace, flower and trim of her dress.

I colored my image with the Watercolor pencils and blender pen - Julie has a great video how to with them check it out!

I am sorry I did not get this card up yesterday or Tuesday like usual.  My mojo was just not flowing and I was playing hide and seek with it all day!    So today?  I think I will spend most of the day cleaning - because I have been avoiding doing that  too!  :-) 

I have been spending most of my time playing in my buttons making jewelry and gearing up for the next 8 weekends!  I may even add a few more rings to myetsy shop and if I do I also want to add a little sidebar widget on my blog too.  You can always put in special requests for colors or size though- I will send you a picture with a few different choices for  you to pick from if you do!
