A little love...

I have a Velentine's Day card to share today with a little twist to the stamps that I used.  I started out with the Springs stamp set

I used the heart branch - but I wanted a different effect to the hearts rather than just coloring them in.  So I took a single heart from the Build a Background hostess set - and used it to "color in" the hearts on my branch with Belle Rose Ink.  I inked up the heart and then stamped it several times on one of the hearts on the branch then re-inked and went to another heart.  I LOVE the effect it gave!

I kept the rest of the card really simple just to showcase the stamping on the branch by just using a piece of American Crafts ribbon and some Aqua staples to secure it.   I love how whimsical and fresh the branch look - don't you???

Well for today on my agenda - same things as usual!  I actually got WAY distracted yesterday playing with Domioes, Sharpie markers, my Krylon silver pen and my stamps!  In fact I pulled out some old retired TAC images that I have been hanging onto - and I made some REALLY cool domioes that will make cute pendants!   Don't ya think???

 
 
Wait til you see them with Sterling Silver wire and Ball chain necklaces.   I will be listing them on my etsy shop as soon as I get them wired up.  They would make great magnets too!

Did I mention my kids are on their second SNOW day??  First day was seriously ALL fighting - it is even way too cold for them to go outside even for just a little bit.  Today they are all into playing cards - so I might be playing a little golf with Logan later!

Your dominos look way cool! I was just looking at a box I had saved (while "cleaning up" my craft room yesterday) and wondered if I'd ever use them again! These look great. AND, gosh I love your idea of using that heart with the branch...it's perfect and you are so smart! :)

very good love the ideas of using more than one stamp set per card. OH ya like it. and I am not a heart fan. and the dominos- very sharp..Thanks for sharing.
