This was the last of the cards I made using the Bouquet ink pad and Friendship Strips stamp sets the other day. I used the omitting technique for the words - in order to get just one set of the sentiment. I kind of cheated a little - and inked up the whole sentiment, and then wiped off the ink I did not want with a baby wipe - then dried off those parts of the stamp with a paper towel. You have to be a little careful - but it works like a charm - especially when you want to use an ink pad instead of a marker for Omitting.
Stamps: Friendship Strips stamp sets from The Angel Company
Ink: Bouquet Kaleidacolor ink pad
Papers: White Cardstock, Harvest Orange 2
Accessories: Shimmer Brads, FLower Punch
I used a Shimmer Brad for the flower center - you can't see the shimmer in the pics though.
So we are off to the pool after lunch - one last SPLASH for the summer! We will definitely be signing up for swimming lessons next summer. Even though Logan is afraid of the water and it being too deep etc - he still loves swimming! Weird huh! Back to School night is tonight for both the little ones. Logan is so excited to pick up his school supplies - he asked me today when he will get his stuff. It does take alot of the fun out of it - but buying the stuff from out PAT is SO incredibly much cheaper! I am a sucker - that is why.
What a bright and cheery summer-feeling card... Love it!
