I got to play in my studio Sunday morning before heading to help my dear friend wrap up her move - and I got a jump on todays sketch. You can see my creation at the top of this post later today. If you have a chance to play with the sketch be sure to comment with a link and I will add a link to your creation too.
I colored the Hello There girl with my prisma colored pencils and then blended with a blending stump and Goo Gone - magic colored pencil technique. I love the detail of pierced holes on the top left and bottom right. I actually did additional holes on the blue piece on the bottom left and top right - but decided I liked it better this way - so i tore it apart and added a new blue piece. For the little greeting strip - I only put the pop dot on the right end - the left edge is stick right to the card under the girl piece.
I am terribly sore today - so i just hope i am able to move about! We have a Dr. appt for Laney this morning - at which she has told me she will NOT be getting a shot. What torture huh? We are going to go swimming after lunch I hope - so that is the silver lining I suppose.
10 days and a wake up til school starts. Not that I am counting down or anything...HA! I think I have been counting for at least 6 months - well not counting but checking progress anyway. I will be home alone for the first time since I started staying home full time 5 years ago. Wow. Time flies when you are having fun eh?
Here's a little fun - my friend Julie mentioned that she had been playing with a new web thingy called Wordle. Sounded pretty cool - so I gave it a shot this morning. It scans your text or blog or whatever you tell it to read and makes a word cloud from it. You can customize the layout and colors etc. Just a silly thing to consume a few idle minutes right? Here is what mine came up with.
Isn't that fun? I thought it was just interesting to see what you are really talking about - I saw Christmas pretty big - since it was Christmas in July I can understand that. Laney is super tiny on the left side and Eric is even in there some where. I could not find DJ or Logan though!
That's soo CUTE! She looks adorable with that ribbon and this sketch :) Love the white look. Great card.

Heather, you are such an enabler. I had to try the Wordle on my blog. Love it, love it. Thanks for sharing that little bit of techno babble. I made one on Tuesday but just posted it today on my blog.
