So ya - can you hear the crickets around here or what? Ahhhhh.....
What a GREAT day it has been so far. First I weighed in this morning and am less 5 more lbs! Whoo Hoo! Then I woke up the kids - they all popped out of bed of course since it is the first day - well DJ not so much but he is 15 afterall. Breakfast all around, pack one lunch (because Laney does not like the schools bread and they are having turkey sandwiches today - ya and ham tomorrow!) Iron Eric's shirt and off we go to walk to school. I took my camera of course - and got some good pics i am excited to scrap! I was fine until that moment right before you walk in the school doors - and your kid turns around and gives you that look. You know the one moms - "Do i really have to go? are you sure? I am not sure mom - do I have to?" Yep then i got a tear. I was able to pull it in and keep from all out bawling - but I am letting it all out now!
I took this picture of Logan about half way on our walk - I think it just occured to him how excited he was - he said "I can't believe this day is finally here!" And I said show me how excited you are - and this is what we get:
What a cheeser.
After I left the school i went for a walk - this will be my morning ritual as long as the weather allows, I hope anyway! Almost back home and I run into my SIL out walking, so I went with her too! She is 6 months or so prego and an running fanattic - but she has a hernia and horrible leg veins while she is prego - so she is just walking now.
Well, I got home and made myself some breakfast - Scrambled eggs and cottage cheese with a little salsa on top - YUMMY! Little did I know that I was making too much. Ya my kids always eat their breakfast and then mooch half of mine and I have never thought much about it til this morning when there was no one asking for bites! Note to self - make less eggs!
Today I am working in my studio (in the peace and quite) on some things for my OZ-some weekend next weekend - that is my team retreat here in Kansas that I host. Talk about FUN! I am getting really excited for it - already have my swap cards and prop swap made. No way - i know it is still over a week away. I have some ideas that i want to work on so maybe I will share a sneak peek or 2 here next week.
Super cute!!! I love the bright colors.
God bless
