This weeks sketch is and "Old Faithful" kind of sketch - as most images and sentiments will work on it easily.
Here is my card that inspired this sketch:
Stamps: Spring Time and Be Still stamp sets from The Angel Company
Ink: Key Lime VersaMagic Ink and Burnt Umber Palette Ink
Papers: Yellow 1 and Green 3 Matchmaker Cardstock, Brown and white Cardstock
Accessories: Giga Merchandise Tag Clever Lever Punch, ribbon
I used the Mega Tag punch on the piece with the sentiment and just cut it off shorter to tuck under the ribbon. Here is a detail shot:
I really like that Spring Time Stamp set - you will probably be seeing alot more of it! Look how cute those wittle birdies are!
And the tire swing! How stinkin' cute is that? I will definetly be playing with that set this week! I got a few of the Spring Supplement sets and am just loving them.
Now to get back to my scrapbook page a day challenge! You know what keeps me from that the most? Finding the pictures out of the oodles of files on my computer. I need to figure out a better system for storing and sorting my pics! I have the CM photo filing system with the big and little boxes - LOVE those! And when I print out pics i do keep them in those - but it is just not feasible to print out pictures before i know i will use them ya know? Oh the problems we face - ya right! If I get a page done I will post it today. I am working on a sketch for the Sisterhood of Scrap - they asked me to be a Saturday Sketch Artist! Whoo Hoo! Since I have to get that done the odds are good that I will make a page today! Deadlines are a good thing for me...
Eric worked ALL weekend - seriously I think he was home maybe 10 hours since Friday morning. You know what is even more ridiculous? He actually went to work this morning! I figured he would sleep in and stay home - but no. Off to work he went. The bad news is they did not get to do all they wanted - so it looks like next weekend will be a repeat! Not as bad he said, but he will probably work a bunch next weekend too. The sadest thing - Logan was crying and he said "I miss Daddy!" Poor budser! I had to be ornery and ask him if he cries when mommy is gone too. :-) I am actually gone for a weekend or longer every month to crop weekends, Angel Gatherings, and TAC functions. (I am SO blessed to be able to get to go so often!) I was happy to hear Logan answer yes - isn't that mean! I know - I am horrible. It is nice to hear that your kids really do actually MISS you when you are gone. I think mine have so much fun at Grandma's when I am gone they do not have time to miss me - and while Eric is gone they are stuck at home with mom in her studio!
Wow this got long - Hope you all have a FANTASTICAL day!
great sketch and wonderful story. It's nice to be missed. Good luck with the next "single mom" week-end! and, congrats on the scrapbook sketch!
