I'm Baaack! I had the most oz-some time in Ohio with my family and a few angels - it is always nice to get away! I did miss home and my studio immensely! I teased you all with the pic of my Advent Calendar made with a Muffin tin - and here is the whole shebang:
I got those pans from Amazon.com - it is a mini muffin tin which was silver in color. Over each of the muffin holes is a square flat magnet (like a business card cut in half) that is covered with cardstock and embellished up with Merry Wishes paper and lots of ribbons and hardware. Don't forget the Stickles! Inside the muffin tin holes you can put:
- Candy
- little prizes
- scriptures
- Christmas to do items
I made one for each of my kiddos and plan to put a Christmas to do item in each one - Like make cookies, or make present for grandma. I really want to get them into the spirit of giving this year! I am also going to make another one for us to have a daily scripture in - and will get the both of those lists one here ASAP!
Here is a second calendar that I made during class with my mom:
AL the squares are different than the other calendar - click on the pictures to bring them up bigger for more detail. This one I really glittered up with Stickles. I should say too that my mom has NEVER stamped! She is not really interested in it - but she had fun with this. She would put the paper and embellishments on the piece and then challenge me to fit the numbers on some how. It was fun. You could definetly make this with your kids too!
I have 4 kits available - the cardstock and papers are all cut down to layer onto the magnet - but you get to play from there! (All pieces are square and you will cut tear and punch them as desired - you supply the adhesive and creativity! Number images will be prestamped for your to add as desired to each magnet) All hardware and ribbons are included plus a bottle of Crystal Stickles and some Pop Dots! The kit is $32 plus $5 for priority shipping. E-mail me if you would like a kit!
Tonight is out November Stamping night out - 2 make and takes and a demo - join us for some fun! I will also be revealing my November Card kit! So check back to see that tonight! Back to work for me today - LOTS of stamping to do!!!
I love your advent calendar! You are always such a great inspiration!
