Ugh - where did the week go? Here is my card for last weeks sketch - plus a little bonus video!
I used watercolor pencils to color my pumpkin - so I made a little video to show you how with some tips! I also used my Dazzle pad to make the whole image shimmer - it looks so cool but is really difficult to see in a photo.
I could not force myself to do my card sketches today - because I wanted to share this ornament first!
They are so much fun - and will make a great gift or even a package ornament - to dress it up and be a gift too. The stamp I used is theNovember Stamp of the month - so it is only available during november with a $30 purchase.
Today I wanted to share with you a treat idea I made for this month's Stamping Night Out.
I used the Miss Moxie Collection of papers and coordinating ribbons, The Gelly Roll Glaze Pens, and my wishblade to cut the treat container - which is actually a Petal Card! You can download the FS petal card file for wishblade. This shape is also available as a Die cut shap for the Big shot too. If you do not have either of those Download the petal card pdf and print it out and cut it yourself with good old fashioned scissors!
I stuffed the above treat with a Ghirardelli Square - yumm! In the video I show it with a treat size Skittles package - so it is a versatile little treat holder. I was also thinking it would make a great Thanksgiving Place holder - or even with a handle on a little Christmas Tree to use as an Advent type of tree! I might just have to make up a few of those myself!
Today I am making massive amounts of Sloopy Joes to feed the varsity football team. Fun stuff right? Did anyone see Oprah yesterday? She had a lady and her husband that survived a plane crash on - and WOW! Makes you rethink how you look at all the mundane tasks we do for our kids. I need a big dose of that some days!
Ok - here it is - the video on how to make a Circle Stand Up Album.
Don't forget you can download the .jpg and .gsd files in the sidebar or purchase pre-cut base pages from me! They are $3 for 5 pages plus $1.50 shipping and handling if I need to mail it to you. Just let me know what color you want your base pages to be when you purchase them!
First - be sure to check out all the new specials for August! Double Hostess benefits!?!?! You have to have a party right now if you are thinking about it - even just get a few orders from as few of your stampin and scrappin buds and split the benefits! The $50 Sign Up special is pretty out of this world too!
I have tried TONS of ways to clean my acrylic blocks and mounts and have always come up with so so results. I heard some where to try Purell. So I went on a hunt for Purell! I found it at Wal-mart - they even have a trial size bottle I am going to go back and get for my tote I take every where when I am stamping.
Check out my video - see it in action!
The mounts after being cleaned are nice and squeaky clean - perfect for sticking stamps too! Anyone know if you can clean your Creative Cling with it? I might have to test it out on some scrap (or an old GWP or something) to see if it does any damage to the cling.
I walked in the Relay for Life last night - and was supposed to go back early this AM at 5AM for an early shift. We got bad storms last night so they closed up shop and went home. So I only walked 4 miles - I wanted to walk this morning too! I will have to go on my own I guess but it is just not as much fun.
I am debating tackling my studio mess today and tomorrow. UGH! I am dreading even starting because I know what I really need to do is empty the whole thing and start by putting back the things I want to stay. I don't think my DH will enjoy having my studio unloaded into the living room though. Hummm.... should I go for it? I really wanted to go to the zoo today or something fun with Laney and Logan - it is SO nice outside! There is gardening to tackle too. What to do what to do???
Oh ya - I have a box of Blog Candy here waiti9ng to be sent to one lucky winner! Patti from Cherish each Precious Day will be gettin some goodies as soon as I get her address!
This is a great planner - with room to grow because there are a few empty pockets. You can leave them out or keep them in for extra space if you want.
Download Christmas Planner Directions in a pdf to print the watch the video to see what I was really trying to say in the directions. It is really hard sometimes to put into words what you actually mean!
I printed mine onto ivory cardstock and used Ivory envelopes - but you can use whatever works for your color scheme. I was inspired by the pages at Organized Christmas - but I wanted more color to the pages so I made my own in Publisher. (I goofed and left out this info and link in my original posting - thanks for the inspiration!)

I reverted back to my ole faithful camera for that video - hopefully I can use the new one for any futer videos as that one was a pain and I do not think does as good quality!
Ok are you ready? I know I have been waiting to do this for a long time - and I have created my very first video! Actually this is about version 5 or 6 of my first video - but I have learned ALOT already!!! You might have seen that I uploaded one last night and then it was gone. Well I got it all done and was proud as can be - but when I previewed it on my blog it looked like DOO DOO!!! So I took it down and figured I would try again this morning. After about 4 more attempts and 6 different versions I think I finally figured it out! Let me know what you think!
The plan is to make a coloring tutorial as often as possible (I am not sayin' everyweek because I know how busy I can get and every week is a pretty steep commitment!) I will use a different image and sometimes different mediums to color with like watercolor crayons, chalks, blender pen and chalks etc.
