TAC is hosting a Seeing Shamrocks Blog hop this weekend - and I wanted to play along. Checking thru my stamps though - No Shamrocks! What's a girl to do? Well I got crafty! I recently taught a new technique I called "Pinched Circle Flowers" which were very cute - and I just altered them a bit to make my shamrock!
I used Hip Hop papers for the Shamrocks - I love the rustic grungy look of those papers with such bright colors too!
Here's and upclose of the shamrocks: Wanna see how to make the Pinched circle flowers and shamrocks? Check out the video!
Cut right? I love the possibilites with all my pattern papers! And using up scraps - LOVE! Be sure to join in the hop or atleast check out all the specTACular creations!
We have TONS of new specials for March - check them all out by clicking on the buttons!
Ready for a fun Technique? This one is super easy - and great for holiday cards. You just need Liquid Applique and Prisma Glitter. Here is the completed card.
The puffed trim on his hat is just adorable - and it has glitter and sparkle too! Check out the video to see just how easy it is!
I colored this lil lady a while ago - and posted a peak at here for ou to see my copic coloring that I was just beginnning to "get". Well I finally put her on a card - and I just LOVE it! The greeting suits her perfectly!

I just love her little hissy fit! I want to come up with some other approprate words to go with her and have them made into personalized stamps too. Like "Don't be a baby, It's only a birthday!" If you have any good ideas leave a comment so we can all be inspired!
This is a good example of my scribble background. I start just teeny tiny scibbling around the image - up real close and just barely touching the paper. I like to make it fade out to nothing so i get light and less the further I get from the image. I go back over the whole thing the exact same way with my blender pen - with the heavier application to the outside of the image instead. Check out the video to see it in action - it really is easy if you do not over think it.
I colored the Bazzill Bitty Bloom with My Copic Marker - BG01 to match the CS and background. I also colored the Acrylic flower - with several coats of YG11 then added the dots with B99. The pearl center is from the Clear and pearl Gem Collection - and is the perfect touch!
I like the font on the greeting - inside the card it says "The more you have the longer you live!" There are some funny ones in the Great Greetings set.
I should be on my way to Ohio today - praying for safe travels, no traffic and fun times with my girl! I have some more things in store to share from my card bonanza last weekend - next up is my FAVORITE card of the day! I am featuring the Emma Collection - which will make for a perfect autumn pallette. Come back and see tomorrow!
This is one of my all time favorite techniques for stamping and scrapping - probably because you can create beautiful backgrounds with just ink, cardstock, post-it notes and a sponge!

We are all looking for great ways to make our stamping and scrapping minutes count right? Well I have been pondering a video series for way too long - and finally got around to making it happen! I am calling them Two Minute Technique's. I will show you a new stamping technique in two minutes or less that you can use on your cards, scrapbook pages or papercrafts. So no LONG video how to - just down and dirty tell me HOW kind of stuff! I hope you enjoy them!
My first Two Minute Technique is called Scored Window Pane. You will create the look of a window pane - simply with scoring and stamping. It is pretty - and always brings to mind butterflies flying outside my windows in spring. I made a card using this technique here. (you can also see it in the video)
I am not gonna say anything like - check back every thursday for a new Two Minute Technique! Because my life just isn't working like that much these days! So I will just say that I hope to do one every week - but probably 2 in a month is more realistic!
I just LOVE how this card turned out - if you gave the sketch a try be sure to leave a linky and link back to here!

I had to inject a little spring time into my studio yesterday when I was stamping - and this card did the trick! It is so freaking cold here in Kansas - and will be even colder by wednesday! I am SO glad I can call this working from home! But I digress...
I colored in my scene with my trusty chalks and Dove Blender pen. This is probably my most favorite way to color for several reasons!
Quick and easy.
Very affordable - all those colors for under $25 with blender pen and all!
Blender pen is refillable - so you just keep adding fluid and replacing the tip.
Did I mention quick and easy?
Now I tell you that you can re-fill that little bad boy - have you ever seen how to do that? Here is a quick little video on how to re-fill your blender pen!
See how awesome that little $4 pen is? It will last you forever if you get a bottle of refill fluid and some tips. You can use it with chalks, colored pencils, watercolors, watercolor pencils and crayons, waterbased markers (like Tombow and Marvy) and even things like Pearl Ex and Perfect Pearls! I am telling you it is one must have item - and there are lots of different brands on the market. Dove is by far the best because it is the only one I have seen that you can refill and replace tips!
Today I usually go to Bible Study - but we are off for one more week. SO insetad I get to play, I mean work in my studio! I have LOTS of catching up still to do - it is endless you know?
Ugh - where did the week go? Here is my card for last weeks sketch - plus a little bonus video!
I used watercolor pencils to color my pumpkin - so I made a little video to show you how with some tips! I also used my Dazzle pad to make the whole image shimmer - it looks so cool but is really difficult to see in a photo.
I could not force myself to do my card sketches today - because I wanted to share this ornament first!
They are so much fun - and will make a great gift or even a package ornament - to dress it up and be a gift too. The stamp I used is theNovember Stamp of the month - so it is only available during november with a $30 purchase.
Today I wanted to share with you a treat idea I made for this month's Stamping Night Out.
I used the Miss Moxie Collection of papers and coordinating ribbons, The Gelly Roll Glaze Pens, and my wishblade to cut the treat container - which is actually a Petal Card! You can download the FS petal card file for wishblade. This shape is also available as a Die cut shap for the Big shot too. If you do not have either of those Download the petal card pdf and print it out and cut it yourself with good old fashioned scissors!
I stuffed the above treat with a Ghirardelli Square - yumm! In the video I show it with a treat size Skittles package - so it is a versatile little treat holder. I was also thinking it would make a great Thanksgiving Place holder - or even with a handle on a little Christmas Tree to use as an Advent type of tree! I might just have to make up a few of those myself!
Today I am making massive amounts of Sloopy Joes to feed the varsity football team. Fun stuff right? Did anyone see Oprah yesterday? She had a lady and her husband that survived a plane crash on - and WOW! Makes you rethink how you look at all the mundane tasks we do for our kids. I need a big dose of that some days!
