I am actually happy because I thought today was SUNDAY! I lost a day some where - I think the holiday screwed me up! We had a wonderful night last night - surrounded by family and friends. I took tons of pics - and cannot wait to get to scrapping them!
Today I am showing of one of the make and takes for this month! I am featuring the beautiful Angalee papers. They are so beautiful! Soft and dainty color palette - not so much pink that they have to be for a girl! I did a simple card - using only papers and 1 - yes count them 1 stamp - and it is a FREE stamp to boot. You can choose this Happy stamp for FREE when you purchase $30 in product from The Angel Company. I also used the all new Embellishment Jar - This one is Audry. If you have not seen these jars they are wonderful! Buttons, felt flowers and paper embossed flowers all together and matchy matchy. YUMM! So here is the card:
Stamps: Happy Gift with Purchase Stamp from The Angel Company
Ink: SPring Pansy VersaMagic Ink and Burnt Umber Palette Ink
Papers: Ivory Cardstock and Angalee SWIC Pattern Paper and Cardstock
Accessories: Audrey Embellishment Jar
Here is an upclose of the embellishment:
I had a really cool ending to this post - and ya know - Typepad has lost my info twice now! So I am going to try again and hope that it saves my stuff this time!
I layered the ink for the words - and stamped the Happy in Spring Pansy, then the birthday on top with Burnt Umber. I used glue dots for the flower and button - I just love those little suckers! I am late at getting addicted to them I know.
I created a "ShortCUT" for this card and layout. To create 18 cards of this same design from just a few sheets of paper and cardstock. Plus you have some leftovers to create other things too! All you need is the following:
9 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock - cut in half to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and fold in half to form cards
2 sheets of 12x12 colored Cardstock - cut 6 rows at 3" and save the rest. Cut then each row into 4 inch pieces - you should have 18 3x4 pieces
1 sheet of 12 x 12 pattern paper - cut 6 rows at 2'. Cut then each row into 4 inch pieces - you should have 18 pieces
1 sheet of striped 12 x 12 paper - cut into 6 rows at 1/2" and save the rest. Cut then each row into 4 inch pieces - you should have 18 pieces.
18 1/2 x 3 inch Ivory scraps to stamp your greeting onto.
18 Flowers and buttons
If you follow those dimensions you will end up with 18 cards in no time. I know I am always looking for ways to create a bunch of cards in a little amount of time.
