I have something very specific in mind for today's sketch - hopefully I will be able to get it out today!  I am off and running this morning finalizing preparations for VBS decorations! 

Our surprise party for Eric's parents went great - we even pulled off a TOTAL surprise!  I was worried because my kiddos were spending the night with them and they were responsible for making sure they were on time and not early for the party without spilling the beans.  They did great - and Clyde and Sylvia were totally surprised.  We were at a park and there was this totally awesome tree that my kids spotted and wanted to climb.  Guess who sat here for probably 70% of the day?

I have to say - she totally takes after her mother!  In fact when I called my mom after the party she even said - "Sounds familiar taking family pictures in the trees!"  I remember hanging out in my cousin's apple trees for like 3/4 of the summer!  All the trees at our house are Walnut trees - and they are no good for climbing.  The redbud right in front of our door has been the stage for many pictures - like the hide and go seek "base".  When I see them climbing it though I always tell them to get down - it is just a teeny little measly thing though!  This Oak was just prefect!  I want to get some pics printed and make a mini book or something out of them. 

Off I go - gotta get my face on and get to the church!

This is definetly my best basket ever!  Most of the time they come out lopsides or wonky somehow.  This one is PERFECT!  I had so much fun going to class with my friend Barbara - she is the sweetest!   We really did have a great time!  Thanks Helenfor the great class - it was super fun.

SO today I stayed home with Logan - he was supposedly sick - which he did throw up but he was fine after taht and buggin me all day!  Interupting my peace and quite!  Sheesh!  He is all better now - so I will still be having my garage sale at home in the morning and crop til you drop tomorrow at 2PM to midnight at BG.  We have a football game tonight - DJ is actually playing Varsity Defense.  Scarey I know - but he loves it.  How such a skinny dude can be a defender I am not sure - but he is good at it I guess!  Laney will also be cheering tonight at the game.  How fun!  I will probably take a picture or two  - HA!

Home sweet home

I made it home from Seminar safe and sound yesterday - I had to go to the grocery store on the way , make supper just about immediately, and then we had a softball game!  (Eric and I play in a co-rec team)  We took the kids for Ice cream afterwards - and we got home at 11:30!!!  I think i was almost in bed before the kids - I was exhausted!  So I slept in this morning (after I took Deej to lifting after 5:30AM) - and am SO excited to share some of the new stuff from the catalog and things from seminar!

First of all MY big news is:

 
My friend Julie won the Angel of the Year award - and I was #1 in sales!  Whoo hoo!  This is my first time in the #1 position and I am so grateful for all of the blessings that helped me to get to this spot!  It took me 10 years of tenacity and never giving up - but I made it.  I have been in the top 10 since I started with TAC - my first year being #3 and missing #2 by 83 cents!  That was a close one - but I was totally shocked as I did not even know what my sales for the year had been.  And ever since that night I have been striving for #1.  I have been #3, #5, #7 (that was the year I had Logan and Laney was only 17 months old)  SO needless to say it has been quite the journey!  I would never even come close to meeting all these goals with out the help and support of these Hot Smokin' Babes:

Those are my Oz-some Inkin' Angels who were able to attend Seminar - we are missing Connie Buck though as she was there but we could not find her for the picture.

These girls are my inspiration!  They have kept me motivated all these years to keep going and keep trying  (even if sometimes it was thru me actually motivating THEM!)  What a blessing from above to have such a specTACular circle of friends!  We have BIG plans for the rest of 2008 - so look out!

So ok enough about me!  Oh wait - one more thing!  I am so delighted to tell you that I had the honor to design for the catalog this year - you can see my samples with the Reece collection of papers - Laney is on a scrapbook page there - right after her first BIG haircut.  Oh and -  my DH Eric is in the catalog!  He is in a picture on the Hip Hop pages - those are the Royal Caribbean Dodge Ball Champions - from the cruise we went on with TAC in December.  I did not do that page - but i was happy to see the picture!!

I need to get unpacked and get my new stamp sets cut out - I got my Pre-order Bundle while I was gone so I have all three of our new kits AND 4 stamp sets to play with - along with all the goodies we got at seminar!  I will put together a card sketch and post it late tonight probably - I wanna play with my kiddos today since i missed them SO much!

Funny from last night - during our softball game  the kids were playing by the dugout with a few bats and their own foam ball.  Laney hit it once and it went over the fence onto our field - during the game!   Logan was standing there and he said to Laney "This must be a really good LUCKY bat Laney!"  since she had hit it so hard and far.  I was cracking up!  Oh and then afterwards we took them to DQ and they each got an icecream cone.  They were playing and having a great time laughing and being silly.  Well I asked them to go sit at another booth as we were trying to talk with my inlaws too and they were just TOO loud.  Well Logan got over to the other table and set his cone down - and then shook the table.  OOPS!  The cone fell on the floor and landed ice cream down.  I have never seen him pick something up so fast in his life!  He grabbed it up and then looked over at us to see if we had seen him drop it and pick it up - and he just froze with this look on his face like - You all didn't see me did you - Can I still eat it?  Big Cheshire Cat grin of his - all teeth.  I was rolling!  I wish I had my CAMERA - it was priceless.

Well I better get to work if I am going to get to any of these things on my wish list!

 
 

My new desk...

Well not the desk i guess my new mat!  It makes such a difference in my desk though.
I could not decide between the pink side or the green.  And can you beleive I actually have it all cleaned off??  well i had to do that in order to be able to put the new mat on!

I had an old grey one on my desk for the longest time - how boring!  It had been abused too - it was even warped in places from over heating with the heat tool - oops!  Boy looking at that clean desk makes me want to get over there and mess it up!  I have a swap to get finished today and a crop tomorrow i want to get ready for so I better get to work here pretty quick!

Have a blessed Easter!  We are traveling WEST to Great Grandma and Grandpa's after church on Sunday.  It is supposed to be cold too - bummer.

Welcome Home!

Up this week - Thursday Technique thursday - at BG 7PM.  3 tech's for $8 or get $2 off if you bring a snack!  (don't forget your adhesive and scissors too!)  Saturday we will be having a Mega Creative Escape!  I have missed you all!  From 4PM to midnight Saturday - come to BG with your projects in tow - and get to work!  I know I have a buinch I want to finish up before Christmas!  I just updated the  google calendar - for Jan and Feb - so check it out for important dates.  (a little side note - if you are having trouble seeing the calendar in my sidebar I have discovered that it works best in Internet Explorer and has lots of errors with Firefox and other browsers)

Wow is all I can say about our trip!  It was totally OZ-some!  :-) 

We thought we would have been able to get Eric's computer to connect while onboard - but he tried and tried with out success!  Oh well - we didn't have time to stop having all that fun anyway!  So hopefully you enjoyed the 2 projects that I was able to have in the que for while I was gone. 

We came home to an empty fridge - our power had been out for 4 days - and the inlaws took great care of our house!  They took all our stuff from the freezer and fridge in to town and we are too happy to be home to go and get it.   Funny huh!  My kids only went to school for 2 out of the 6 days they should have gone.  I am SO glad I was on the beach in 80-90 degree weather instead of here with no power! 

Here are some highlights from our trip:

The Beach at Labadee Haiti - we floated on beach mats here for a few hours!  It was so relaxing!  This was by far my favorite day of the whole trip!

View from fort in San Juan - we had 45 minutes at this place and it was SO not enough time to explore!

And here is me on St Marteen - on our way back to the ship after a day of Sea Shell hunting, Swimming and shopping!

That was our ship - The Liberty of the Sea's from Royal Caribbean.  It is the Largest ship sailing right now!  It was HUGE!

Eric and I - and the rest of our party - even tried out the Flow Rider!  I will spare you the shock of those pics!  That first leap onto the wave is a doosey - but after that it is so much FUN!  Right Jackie???  :-)

We had all of our excursions canceled because of Olga -the tropical storm thast we pretty much followed the whole trip.  But we had a blast anyway! 

I am glad to be home and have spent most of today snuggling with my kiddos - I missed them SO much!  I think they missed us a little too...

WHat a MESS!!!

I really am not a slob - really!  I am an artist.  If that makes me a little messy then so be it!  I was talking with a great friend today - Julie of Paperjewels - and we got to talking about what a mess our studio's were.  I told her there was no way hers was a bigger mess than mine!  So of course then I had to take pictures to prove it.   The that sweet little Julie Triple Dog Dared me to put it on my blog!  SO here it is - in all its GLORY!  My little piece of heaven, my safe asylum, my studio...

The bad lighting is to camoflage the mess a little - kind of like candle light?  This is just a corner - i do have three others which are equally disatrous!   In my defense - I have been stamping all day - creating masterpieces both scrapping and carmaking.  It is so nice to have a saturday here and there to do that!  I am going to have to make a note to schedule one of those every month!  Ugh but then will i be able to find the note?

I guess I better take a bit and clean up in here.  I should atleast be able to see some desk top huh?

And um Julie?  I showed mine now its your turn!  :-)

Still stuffed!

We had a fabulous Turkey day - and I was able to get all my pics for my Blessings Book!  I am so excited to get them printed out and in my book!  My family even cooperated and willingly filled out the tags for me - I was shocked to not have to twist arms to get them done!

I took some time before dinner to get some pictures of the kids of course!  Here is my fav of the lil' ones together:

I have finished up most of the designing for the upcoming stamp camp!  Yeah!  We are using the Vintage Holiday Wing it Collection of designer papers - and they are SO fun to work with!  Now that the house is empty - and it is quiet except for the holiday music of xmradio - I am ready to wrap the last few things up!

Check out the Nov Inkspiration for my Christmas card I designed yesterday!  Now to make up about 200 of them...

Anyone for an assembly line?  Maybe I should have another piece of Pumpkin roll to get me going!
