paper trimmer
Decorative Paper - NOT Cardstock weight
3 CD Literature folders
Adhesive

Cardstock
Fold Up Folders
Fold up your CD folders - be sure to box out the spine of each one so they will go together evenly.
Adhere folders together
Use just a tiny bit of adhesive - two pieces is plenty - see next photo for how to line them up.
Line up folders to attach together
The easiest way to do that is to lay them on the desk side by side - with the 2 sides you will be adjoining up in the air - and then line up the top edge before joining together.
Cover the cover
Take one 5 x 6 piece of pattern paper to cover your front flap of your book. Line ith up about a 1/16 of an inch from the spine. You can see it above my finger in this picture. If you look inside your book - what you do not want to go past is the edge of the pocket on the back side of the cover page.
Trim corners
Trim the corners of the cover piece - BE SURE to leave enough space from the corner to cover the thickness of the page you are covering - so on the next pages you will want to leave more room because you will have 2 thicknesses of page. Make sense? ;-)
Wrap the edges
Next you will want to wrap the edges around to the back of the page you are covering. I apply my adhesive on TOP of the the piece so that when i apply the covering piece the adhesive is already there.
All sides wrapped
All sides wrapped and ready to cover the mess!
Apply cover piece
Take one 5x5 piece and adhere it on top of wrapped pieces to finish page. Line it up with the edge of the pocket you are covering.
Punch hole for tab
Punch a half circle thru this pocket to reveal the pages you will slip behind when your book is completed.
Peek at your punch
To see where you are positioned with your punch just lift up on the punch and peek below to make sure you are centered.
Finished pocket page

covering second page
Remember to leave the extra space when trimming corners for the double thickness of this page. (The next page will be the same process)
Second page complete
Don't forget to cut out your half circle Notch!
Repeat for next page in the book.
When you do the back page - I put my large piece on the OUTSIDE of the book instead of the inside - just so it will look more finished on the back side.
Make pockets
Take your 4 1/4 square pieces and score a line along 2 adjacent sides at 1/2 inch
Trim corner
Only this time you will trim right up to the scored line - instead of leaving extra space like we did for the page covers.
Make pocket corner
Trim off opposite corner of pocket. Just cut diagonally about 1 1/2 inch from each side.
Then apply adhesive to scored off portions - be sure to get good coverage!
Attach pocket
To right side pages of book. You will have 3 pages to adhere pockets to.
completed pages with inserts.
Both pages with inserts.
To make the inserst - take 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 pieces of cardstock. I applied a 2 x 4 3/4 piece of pattern paper to the top of all the insert pieces by folding it in half first, then applying to both side of insert page so it shows both ways.
I also use the Running Stitches stamp set - which looks VERY real on this project!
Apply Spine cover piece
Stand your book up on your table and place the spine piece against the spine. Line it up to be centered - do not adhere yet!
Fold over spine
Gently fold edges over to mark where the corners of the book and spine are.
Adhere spine cover
Now holding spine piece in place lift one edge and apply tape, then adhere to front of book.
Lift up spine piece and apply adhesive along spine - stick donw and repeat for back of book.
Embellished cover
I added a second strip of Paper and a strip of cardstock and a flower.
