Whoo Hoo - I got a new laptop! I am so excited - and so behind the learning curve with everything on this sucker so bear with me as I try to get up to speed on things and get everything brought over to this system.

I wanted to share another card I made using the Snow Crystals stamp set - and this one I also used the snow embossing plate with my Big Shot!

I started with Sugar Cardstock and ran it thru the Big Shot with the snow impressions plate to emboss. I decided to use the debossed side - or the side with the snowflaked impressed into it. I rubbed my Winter Sky ink pade over top and then added some Navy to the edges. Next I stamped some Snow Crystals with Navy and Winter Sky.

For my sentiment I started with a strip of Sugar and stamped the greeting onto it with Navy Ink. Next I stamped the decorative line below the sentiment with Winter Sky ink. Next I edge distressed the bottom edge. To top it off and bling it up I ran my Quickie glue pen along the top edge and added some Crystal Glitter! Oh La La! I added the strip to the card with Pop Dots.

So there you have it! Another card with this totally awesome stamp set - I will post another one soon!

I have been playing with some snow stuff!  I ordered the snow/candy cane stripe Impression Plate and the Snow Crystals stamp set - which I LOVE!   I actually did 4 different cards that I will share in the next few days!

For today's card I used Winter Sky cardstock along with Navy and Sugar.  I think Winter Sky is going to one of my favorites this winter because it is almost like a neutral.  I embossed the card with the impression plate and then sanded it to reveal the white snowflakes.  LOVE this technique and am so glad that all of our cardstock has the white core to make it possible.

I used the Labels Set A*muse Exclusive die to cut out the label shape.  It has 4 different label shapes and also comes with positioning templates too!

 

I stamped with Winter Sky ink and the snow crystals stamp first.  Then I stamped the greeting using my Navy inkpad.  I tied a blue organza ribbon (not from a*muse studio) around a navy panel and then layered the label on top with pop dots.

So I have been MIA again for a few weeks - because my coputer is on it's last leg!  I am hoping that I can keep using it a few more weeks til all the black friday sales - but who knows if I will last that long.  It has been driving me CRAZY especially since I had these cards to share!

I have been feeling pretty good - treatments are all over I hope!  I go in for a check up in 6 weeks and they will determine if I need a booster round of radiation or if I am good to go.  I am still tired sometimes - but mostly am feeling pretty good.  I am so glad to have it all behind me and looking forward to getting all back to normal.  It has amazed me how easy the whole process was for me - and I know that it would not have been without God's loving hands wrapping me up!  I am so thankful for all the prayers that were being said for me and my family.

Fall puffs

I am back with another new creation - inspired by a card I found HERE and just loved!

 

I started with the puff flower from Beautiful Botanicals and stamped it in Orange on Vanilla CS.  I then took a colored pencil and went over the stems of the flowers with a brown pencil. 

 

Then I inked the top of the image with a sponge dauber and Ocean ink - I will try a different blue next time - maybe Sky or Bermuda?  Next I stamped the script background with French Roast onto Orange CS - and inked the edge slightly with French Roast and a Sponge Dauber.  I tied a piece of twine around the bottom edge - this was twine I had on hand and not a|s twine.  Then I layered it all onto a French Roast Note Card - adding 3D Foam Adhesive to the top layer.  I added the sentiment on a strip of Vanilla CS in French Roast with 3D Foam Adhesives also.

 

I really like the color combo and soft sponging of color.

So I had a few rough days over the last 2 weeks - feeling pretty green and icky tired.  But I think I have kicked it - and am back in my studio!  Yeah!  I only have 4 more treatments to go and I will be FINISHED!  Whoop Whoop!  I have so appreciated all the prayers and kind thoughts going out for me and my family - and they have been working miracles!
