Finally! I broke out my new a*muse stamps and supplies from my kit and I got to create this morning! I have been trying to get this done for several days now and just could nto seem to get it done - til this morning. So here it is in all it's little glory - my very first official card as an a*muse consultant!
I was instantly drawn to the Beautiful Botanicals stamp in my starter kit - LOVE! Of course my next fav had to be the DOTS from Polka Dot Patterns. Now I have to tell you i was way leary to learn that a*muse uses only pigment inks. I have been stamping for 15 years and have come to prefer dye ink. I inked up my stamps and just fell head over heals for these pigments! The colors are fab - they are not really sticky like some - and they stamp like a dream. LOVE!
My color palette is going fall y'all! Sage Orange and Frech Roast - me likey! The Orange satin ribbon - oooh la la! I have always loved satin ribbons - and the feel of these are soft and supple - not crisp and crunchy like some acetate varieties.
So there you have it! Hopefully the start of a wonderful artistic journey! I am glad to get started - and have to laugh at the time it took me to get it on my blog. approximately 15 minutes to make the actual card - start to finish. Then 15 getting the pic set up and edited. Then 40 minutes re-doing my watermark! UGH! oh and then maybe 10 to post. I am laughing because the actual card making time was so short and sweet - but now that I have one done and posted I am gonna slip back over to my studio table and stamp some more!
Hope you get to get a little inky this weekend too!
For those of you who may be interested in my health updates - I will include a little blurb at the end of my posts thru my treatments - so read if you dare! Just kidding - i will not get too graphic i promise!
It is the end of week 2 - and I have to tell you friday was my best feeling day in probably 2 months. Weird huh to feel better after 2 weeks of radiation and chemo. CRAZY! But it is true I felt normal for a change - and I will take it! So far no hair loss (except in a certain unseeable by all but me spot), nausea meds are working wonders, and I am not extremely tired most days. Grumpiness comes and goes with the kids level of attention and obedience. LOL! We have been SO blessed by eric's work and my circle of Bible Study ladies with meals all week - and they have signed up til the end. That is such a load off me - and eric has been on top of the kiddos for dishes after dinner. They have really been wonderful - with lots of extra hugs for me and doing the little things that we need. I have been getting cards galore and they really do lift my spirits! Thank you to everyone who is praying and thinking of us! We can feel the love - and love you all right back.

Love, love, love the card! You're going to laugh but I did orange and french roast too! lol! I also did a tone on tone with the green. Haven't finished the cards yet as I'm still trying to figure out how to pull it together. Glad to get the health update too! Glad you had a good day yesterday! woo hoo!!

Love the card and colors Heather. I too love the Botanical stamps in the kit. I'm glad to hear the chemo and radiation is treating you well. I lost all of my hair within 6 days of the first treatment...that was some harsh stuff they were feeding me. Glad you haven't had to experience that. Hang in there...prayers are being said for you and your family.
