here is my fav image from last nights class - probably because it combined all the techniques I was teaching and the girls were ROCKIN' em! I went simple on the card design because our focus was the coloring.
We were using only copics from the TAC Caboodles sets D E and A. So you can see with just three sets you can do quite a bit! I love his orange hair - and that little froggy is super cute! The stamp set is Summer Boys and the background is from Background Soup. The papers go perfectly because I used the papers from the paper Caboodles which were picked to coordinate with the Copic Caboodles Marker Sets - how easy is that!
***Copic Combos***

To get the two tone on his clothes using the same 3 markers I just didnt use the darkest on the shirt, and then didnt use the lightest on his shorts - make sense? I think the flesh colors in set A are a little lighter than I like them to be - but then again I also think they do not photograph well. Either that or these kiddos need some SUN! LOL!
So I have been a little nervous about teachng the copic techniques to my girls because I am by no means an expert. I have not taken the certification class. I am however a great student! I watch and study and most importantly PRACTICE! And I do still have terrible results sometimes too - and I share them! Like this kitty disaster...
Uh Dark much? LOL! I got a little carried away with the darkest color. Well either that or it was just a really juicy dark. I think it was more the carried away me than the marker though for sure.
Ok his face isnt too terrible - but i started on the body and was practicing by the time i got to the face.
Ok so I am going to make Bierrocks today to take to the football game tonight. It is the game of the season - away against Silver Lake. We are picked to lose by 8. We are 4-0 though so who knows! DJ is pumped up and ready to kick some butt! I hope he gets a sack or two - that is his fav play.
Holy smokes it is almost NOON! I gotta get that dough risin'. Have a great weekend - make a card for National cardmaking day tomorrow - and check out all the october specials too!
