I used this punch trick for my label/tag - I just love altering punches simply to make a totally different shape.  That one is very simple - but very useful - I think almost more useful than the original tag shape!  I hope you have time to give the sketch a try and leave your linky!

It is all about Christmas around here today - I am finalizing my Bazzill Red Series of Christmas cards hopefully today!  My class is next week Saturday from 4-midnight - so it would be REALLY nice for me to get them done more than a whole week in advance!  OMG!  Concept right?

Monday Sketch 93 - Play along for Blog Candy!

get creative with that shape - I know I am gonna!  It could be an oval, a tag, or even a flower.  I plan to use ribbon for the 1/2" piece - the wheels are a turning!

This is the last week in October - so be sure if you wanted any of these specials to get them while  you can!  I actually just realized that I had posted in previous posts the NOV specials instead of October!  Why didn't some one poke me?!?!? 

I had a nice relaxing weekend - and experienced a FIRST that could have been much worse!  You know running out of gas is pretty funny - but only if you have ONSTAR and can press a button and have some one bring you gas.  Had I needed to actually WALK along interstate 70 to gas station it probably would not have been so funny...however it was a nice day for a walk!  :-)  Let me just say - I will not be seeing how far I can really get after the little gas pump lights up anymore!  Seriously - do not trust the RANGE meter to be precise ladies especially when on the interstate! 

I am having that feeling of relief today - feeling like I do not h ave anything to scramble to get ready for.  Do you think I will get ahead this week?  HA!  I can dream right?  Actually I plan to do some serious cleaning today in my studio.  I have the highest most ridiculous pile of filing to do.  And I have some re-arranged things that are still displaced so that I cannot get some drawers open!  Anyone relate?  Wednesday hopefully I can do some serious creating in my studio!  I have some events coming up fast in November - and I really should be nailing down some designs and ideas.  They are all still floating around in my brain. 

Ok here I go - tackling this pile!

I got a little carried away with the Stickles - but it was fun!  I traced around the whole piece with the bear on it and I also dotted randomly around in the snow.  The bear also got stickle accents on her necklace, flower and trim of her dress.

I colored my image with the Watercolor pencils and blender pen - Julie has a great video how to with them check it out!

I am sorry I did not get this card up yesterday or Tuesday like usual.  My mojo was just not flowing and I was playing hide and seek with it all day!    So today?  I think I will spend most of the day cleaning - because I have been avoiding doing that  too!  :-) 

I have been spending most of my time playing in my buttons making jewelry and gearing up for the next 8 weekends!  I may even add a few more rings to myetsy shop and if I do I also want to add a little sidebar widget on my blog too.  You can always put in special requests for colors or size though- I will send you a picture with a few different choices for  you to pick from if you do!

Crazy busy Monday!  I did not think I was ever going to get  this sketch done!

I am on the run - but caught up for now in my studio - YIPEE!!   I even have ALl the Christmas cards done from the class this past weekend!  I have a feeling I am going to be working like MAD on Button Bling Things this week! My store is pretty pewny right now - I tend to only take special requests in the Fall so that I can take my pre-made pieces to all the craft shows I have coming up. I am kind of freaking out about having one every weekend from now til the second weekend in December!

I was inspired by this card.  I love the layout and use of the ornament - and when I saw it I knew it would be one of my next Christmas Card Bonanza cards!

Another Coloring Video - Blender Pen and Chalks

As promised - I have a video to share today!  This time I am showing how to use Chalks (some call them Pastels) and a Blender Pen.

I used the Fall Fun stamp set - and the Earth Tones Chalk set with my Dove Blending pen.  Here is the finished card.

I had fun with this card - making up those bats!  I had wings in the Glitter Goblins stamp set  and I used the body and eyes from Build a Buggie!   I love the evil eyes - they are funny!  I used my Palette Noir pad and embossed the swirls on the black card with Transcendece Powder - to add a little spook and texture.

Deep into lots of creating today in the studio - check bqack tomorrow I will have another video coloring tutorial this week - this time with Chalks and a blender pen!

 

Monday sketch #91

Another Monday - only today the kids are home for Columbus Day!   They are playing on the Wii - since it is cold and rainy.  Might be a challenge to get much accomplished today I am sure!  I did get my sketch ready though - if you give it a whirl be sure to leave your linky and link back here!

 My TAC-nique night is this week thursday and then saturday is an all day crop and Christmas Card Camp!  For thos of you who are on my mailing list locally be looking for the e-vite coming out for both events today!   S0 I have lots of "to do" items this week.  I am feeling refreshed though after the weekend!  I was able to road trip to CKC with my friends Terri and Lyla - OMG we had SO much fun and were totally on inspiration overload by the time we left!  We decided that we HAVE to plan for a road trip again next year - only this time MORE of our friends have to come along.

Fun little Halloween treat - How to video!

Today I wanted to share with you a treat idea I made for this month's Stamping Night Out. 

I used the Miss Moxie Collection of papers and coordinating ribbons, The Gelly Roll Glaze Pens, and my wishblade to cut the treat container - which is actually a Petal Card!  You can download the FS petal card file for wishblade.  This shape is also available as a Die cut shap for the Big shot too.  If you do not have either of those Download the petal card pdf and print it out and cut it yourself with good old fashioned scissors!

I stuffed the above treat with a Ghirardelli Square - yumm!  In the video I show it with a treat size Skittles package - so it is a versatile little treat holder.  I was also thinking it would make a great Thanksgiving Place holder - or even with a handle on a little Christmas Tree to use as an Advent type of tree!  I might just have to make up a few of those myself!

Today I am making massive amounts of Sloopy Joes to feed the varsity football team. Fun stuff right? Did anyone see Oprah yesterday? She had a lady and her husband that survived a plane crash on - and WOW!  Makes you rethink how you look at all the mundane tasks we do for our kids.  I need a big dose of that some days!

I stamped the dragonflies with Noir ink and then embossed them with Transcendece Embossing Powder, then I colored them with the Earth Tones chalk set and my Dove Blender.  After I colored them I stamped on top with Charcoal and the Script Background stamp.  I also edged it with a sponge and directly with the Charcoal ink pad.   What do you think should I have added a sentiment to this one?  I kind of like it without.
