I had specifically thought to use the bird as my 2 1/2 inch element on this card sketch with his body popped up on a pop dot. The rest of the card just fell together! I got the idea for this scallop border ahile ago from Laurie Willison - it is SUCH a cute idea! (Thanks for the inspiration Laurie!) I colored the bird with the Jewel tone chalks with a blender pen - such a easy way to color! I always reccomend the chalks and blender to new stampers as a starter kit for coloring because it is a very good value for lots of color and technique options.
Today? I should be at bible study this morning - but I am playing hookey. I know, I know - naughty naughty! I will be heading in to town for lunch with Eric's grandparents and then hopefully to get a little shopping done!

Love the colors here and how you used that flower to make a "background" paper. Neat!

I love the border. Laurie is so clever! Love your card. Super cute. I have not used the chalks you mention so I should get some and play! It sounds like fun. Love your blog...thanks for all the awesome sketches and fun projects you keep inspiring me with!
