Christmas in July Card Camp was last night - boy does it feel GREAT to have a head start on my Christmas cards! Combined we did over 100 cards in about an hour! Can you believe that? I was blown away how fast it went - the longest it took was an hour and 30 minutes. And we had fun too! Here is another card that we made - this one was my fav i think.
Stamps: Joy of Christmas and Greeting FREE gift with purchase stamps from The Angel Company
Ink: Aspen Mist VersaMagic Ink
Papers: Ivory, Brown and Dark Green Cardstock and Bazzill Blue Green Cardstock
Accessories: Ava Embellishment Jar button and flowers, Square punch, Scallop Scissors and White Scrappers floss
Unexpected color combo for Christmas huh? The flag with the greeting is dark brown - and the layer behind the tree is Dark Green. I did the trick with a square punch to get the flag on the end of the piece. Easy peasy! The Aspen Mist ink shows up GREAT on that brown cardstock too. I love the softness and the flower and button accent.
I apologize for not posting much this week - it seems like I have been buried and am just about to break the surface. Yeah! I have been re-organizing and re-arranging a ton in my studio. It is coming along - but still have a LONG way to go. It is fun though... I have also been catching up on lots of stamping that I had to do - from TACnique nights, stamp camps, card classes. I have a nice stockpile of cards growing though which is NICE! The other funny thing that kept me from posting - my S key was not working! I would type a whole paragraph of an e-mail and then have to go back through the whole thing and PUNCH in the S's. LOL! It was irritating! I kept telling Eric that it was not working - so when he got home wednesday I said - PUHLEEEESE look at my S key! He walks in my studio with a can of compressed air. Squirts the keyboard and VOILA! I was instantly typing "Stupid S key" with ease. Then I proceede to say NUH UH!!! I could have done that like 3 days ago! Pathetic that i went that long with such a pain in the patootie...
This weekend I am playing in a softball tourney - should be fun. It is a tribute/memorial to my friend Amy's husband who passed away 2 years ago unexpectedly in the middle of the night - very young in his 30's. They recently found out that it was a severe Asthma Attack that caused his death. Everytime I think of them it just makes me want to seize the day! You never know when it could be your last. Send a card, hug your kids, and kiss your hubby!
Oh and one more thing - a little motivating thing i heard today: "Keep doing what you are doing and you will keep getting what you are getting". Makes me think of the things I want and what to do to get them or make them happen.

great quote and loved the card camp last night - the cards are fabulous!!! have fun playing softball!!!
